Adriene Rohde
Adriene had Gall bladder cancer in 2012 and was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer affecting the liver, in March of 2017. She is currently on a chemo vacation. The only true cure for Cholangiocarcinoma is a liver transplant. However, because of her gallbladder cancer in 2012, and the treatments Adriene received then, she is not a candidate for a transplant. Chemotherapy is only a tool used to keep the cancer in check from growing and spreading. She's received 14 infusions of Gemcitabine and Cisplatin from April 2017 to September 2017. Her next check-up to see if the "vacation" is over will be in April. Adriene sees a homeopathic nutritionist around two times a months. Those homeopathic visits and supplements are not covered by insurance and because of her diagnosis, Adriene has been unable to work to help supplement those costs. Adriene is battling this disease with her husband Dan by her side, and with their beautiful daughter, Lilly, in tow. They'd like to thank the BTB Foundation along with their family and friends for the love and support! Thank you and God Bless!!! |
