Carrie Blixt-Diaz
I can’t express what an honor it is that I was asked to write a reference letter for one of my dearest friends, Carrie Blixt-Diaz. I believe she would be an exceptional and worthy candidate to receive your help.
We met almost 6 years ago through our children who were close friends their freshmen year of high school. As I got to know her son Jon, I knew that I really wanted to meet his mom. I knew that anyone who was raising such a kind and respectful young man was going to be an incredible person and I couldn’t wait to meet her. Who knew that one simple encounter at the gym would impact my life so profoundly. From that day on, she was my “person”. Carrie is one one the most inspiring people I know. Hearing her life stories of struggles and hardship only made me admire her more. She dealt and continues to deal with difficult situations. What I love about Carrie is her ability to handle adversity with dignity, grace and humility. I believe her experiences have made her the strong and resilient person she is today. Not only is she strong and resilient but she’s also extremely kind and empathetic. She’s always putting others people’s needs above herself. This is why I feel she’s deserving of your help. She continues to works tirelessly to provide for her boys and she’s always there for them, emotionally and physically. She is an attentive, caring mother raising 4 boys on her own. When you meet her boys it’s apparent how much they're loved. She’s so incredibly giving of herself and her time. Carrie was always a mom who volunteered at school and in the community. I’ve witness her countless hours studying for her doctoral degree all while holding a job, raising her boys, and pushing through serious health issues. I’m alway amazed at seeing her smile through it all. Thank you for considering this wonderful woman as a candidate. What you do for people who are financially struggling while having to deal with serious life illness is extremely special. We are all deeply grateful. Sincerely, Ingrid Falanco |
