Donna Rupp
Even though Donna Erin Rupp, age 40, of McHenry, lost her battle with cancer on February 14, 2019 we'll be supporting her family at this year's event.
Born on December 1, 1978 in Woodstock, IL to John C. and Peggy L. (Tomlinson) Rupp, Donna was a profoundly loved preschool teacher. Her relationship with her students was nothing short of extraordinary. At preschool graduation, Donna wore a look of pride and smile on her face as her students approached her to get their diplomas. For her students, Miss Donna made an impact that will last a lifetime. Deeply committed to fundraising, Donna often coordinated events on her own. A spokeswoman for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, Donna promoted the McHenry community's participation in its quest to conquer childhood cancer. The foundation is entering its tenth year of fundraising in the community. Donna made a personal impact by sharing her own story of being a mother of a two year old with cancer and her son, Jackson, is an honor child for St. Baldrick's. Donna was involved with the Woodstock Opera House and adored musical theater, memorizing and singing every Broadway song. She loved watching Food Network, baking, arts and craft projects, painting, and photography. Her family meant everything to her and Donna's greatest joy was being a stay at home mother. Left behind to cherish her memory is her partner, Jeff Tazbier; her mother and father, Peggy and John, her brother Brian and her son Cooper. This year's event will honor Donna and help her family.
