Christina Hughes Morales
Christina is the wife of Miquel, step-mother of Melanie and mother of 3 beautiful girls - Jade (14 years old, starting High School), Izabella (aka Bella, 4 years old just started pre-K) and Sophia, their little miracle baby at 1 year old, a blessing resulting from this awful sickness.
Days after Sophia was born, Christina was diagnosed with stage 4 inflammatory Breast Cancer. She managed an aggressive Chemo routine every 3 weeks which started late November, 2017 which lasted till the end of March 2018. After that, she started a Chemo regime of once a month and is still receiving this chemo. In Sept of 2018 she went to the Emergency Room complaining of a migraine only to find out the Cancer has spread to her brain. She's undergone Radiation 5 days a week for 3 weeks. They are unsure if it has worked yet, it's too soon to know. Money raised at our event will be used to pay mortgage and monthly bills,to take care of her 3 beautiful girls and step daughter. She's also hoping to spend a little time at the Wisconsin Dells to get her baby's mind off of their mommies sickness. They're hoping that just by spending a little fun time as a family it will help ease all of their minds for a little while. From her friend and Champion Michelle... "Christina has always worked since she was 14 yrs old when she had her 1st daughter, raising her on her own, working two jobs to provide for Jade. She's never asked for any help from anyone, not even family. She always took care of everything including her mother, and sister who had 3 boys of her own. Christina never complained. She is 36 yrs old and was never without a job. She just started working at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago just before this tragic sickness tore her world down. She's been hard working and a very loving, caring Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, niece and friend to all. She is loved dearly by many. We all need and appreciate our Warrior, she is a fighter and will do everything within her to be here in the future for her Babies and all. Thank you for listening to a rambling heart-broken mother. |
