David Ben-Dov
Husband to Dana.
Father to Talia and Rachel. Friend to many! A Note From David ""This is without a doubt the most challenging thing I've been through in my life. This is a very difficult cancer to beat and doesn't provide a positive outcome in most diagnoses. With my excellent medical team at the Malnati Brain Tumor Institute at Northwestern, and support of my family and friends, I am determined to beat the statistics. As I go through the various forms of treatment I want to continue to support my family and organizations that are dedicated to the education and research for Glioblastoma. Any help would be a blessing." Recently diagnosed with a primary brain cancer called Glioblastoma, David has had to undergo two brain surgeries to remove the mass and is receiving radiation and chemotherapy. Right now, David is on disability. Funds raised from our event will help cover family and medical expenses, as well as schooling costs. David is a Law Partner at Golan Christie Taglia since 2020 and has previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, General Law Bureau, Labor and Employment Law Unit, where he handled the defense of employers in federal and state employment litigation. He's an avid cyclist and has been recognized as a "Gold Spoke," as one of the top fundraisers for the National MS Society, in conjunction with Bike MS: Tour De Farms from 2014 - 2022. From his Caring Bridge Page... At every turn, David has shown what an absolute warrior he is – his usual wacky humor, constant lawyering, iron will and loving nature are shining through despite everything his body has been through. He’s keeping the docs and nurses on their toes, in usual style. On Valentine’s Day, he even sent Dana gorgeous roses. The family was also bringing in some of his favorite foods to avoid the hospital food! The girls are also showing incredible grace and maintaining their busy schedules while helping around the house and loving on best dog, Sally. She missed her dad and is as thrilled as we are to have him home! We appreciate you beyond words for being in our tribe and for being part of Team Dave. Much love, David, Dana, Talia, Rachel, and the entire family |
