Our 2015 Outing:  A rainy day with a touch of cold but still lots of Fun, Laughter and Friendship!
Our 14th annual event was a
HUGE Success!
Over 280 Golfers!
Over 100 Volunteers!
Over 400 at Dinner!
A great time!  Golf at White Pines and our Celebration Dinner at the Diplomat West!

2012 - Where do we start?

White Pines Golf Course
$75,000 Distributed
270 Golfers
420 for dinner

Football Referees, Polyp, Landscapers, Bagpipers, Massage Therapists, Nutritional Expert, Opera Singer, Celebrity Wheel of Meat Spinners, Anchorwoman, Stree Organ Vendor, Weather woman,  Skates the Wolves mascot......... and oh, yeah -

A FREAKING CLOWN BAND!

2011 - We set new records and raise over $90,000!

Picture
White Pines Golf Course - Wow!  Almost 280 for golf, over 400 for dinner.  AND we raise over $90,000 to help 4 families, along with 2 very worthy cancer charities.

And, on the course was our usual cast of characters and assorted nonsense -
Irish Dancers, Polka music superstars, Saucy Nuns, Tuba playing, Our Piano Playing "Miniature Golfer", Vevulezulas, and a Super Bowl, record-setting receiver!

2009 - Polka Party & Wheel of Meat raise record sum!

Picture
Money Raised:  Over $60,000 for The Cancer Care Foundation, Gorney-Avila and Spachner Families.

Winners:  Dan and Pat Mullen     Old Orchard Golf Course

Over 140 golfers.  Over 300 for Dinner.  Over $60,000 raised!  A HUGE Success….. except Tom and Bill lose AGAIN to the Mullen brothers?  Say it isn’t so, Batman.

Eddie Korosa Jr – Polka star of “Home Alone” joined Tom and Bill on the course, playing the accordion while Tom played the Tuba.  You could hear the “Beer Barrel Polka” and “In Heaven there is no Beer” on every hole!   http://eddiekorosajr.com/index.html)

The Wheel of Meat has it’s inaugural spin!  Ostrich, Kangaroo, Alligator, Braunschweiger,, Oh, My!  Jeff Ardito is the virgin spinner and believe it or not, he won SPAM!

Sweaty Elvis makes a triumphant return!

2010 - Kevin Pick hits Hole in one & wins... A Beat Tom and Bill Button?

Picture
Indian Lakes Golf Course -  A record crowd of over 220 golfers and almost 400 for dinner raised almost $75,000!

Sally’s Studio performed its’ first art therapy program with children from the Spachner, Gorney – Avila, Neilson and Charalambous familes.  They created 2 beautiful works of art that we auctioned.

Even though we shot 5 & 6 under, Tom and Bill were beaten again!  By two separate teams.  The good news is neither one was the Mullen Brothers!

One of our golfers had a HOLE IN ONE!  While he didn’t win a new car, or a vacation, or even a great cash prize, he was able to wear his exclusive “I BEAT TOM AND BILL” button with pride!

We heard there was lots of noise out on the course and for that we apologize.  Apparently, air horns blew every time some lucky fool beat one of our shots.  We’ve also been told that some music acts were playing during backswings and putts, somewhat affecting your ability to concentrate during crucial shots….  BILL AND TOM WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT WE TAKE THIS COURSE MISMANAGMENT VERY SERIOUSLY AND WE’LL FIND OUT WHICH OF OUR VOLUNTEERS APPROVED THESE SHENANIGENS!

Apparently, The Banjo Buddies played Dixieland Jazz, Eddie Karosa Jr and some of his Boyz from Illinois served up delicious Polka, Bob McKenna gave us his Street Organ, Joe Dillilo and Joey Noelle gave us an incredible electric National Anthem, Chris Errera – our “miniature golfer” – tickled the ivories with songs from his upcoming album and while I hear they all sounded great – A GOLF COURSE IS NO PLACE FOR THIS KIND OF THING – BILL AND TOM GUARANTEE THIS WON’T HAPPEN AGAIN!

Nuns and Priests serving up shots of “Hot Sex”?  WHAT IN THE NAME OF SAM HILL WAS GOING ON?

The WHEEL OF MEAT had Python, Rabbit, Spam and more, along with a new video?  CRAZINESS!

A Golden Tee tournament, Break the Glass, Silent Auction, Live Auction, Raffle Prizes – HOW CAN ONE GOLF & DINNER OUTING PACK ANY MORE INTO IT’S ALREADY FULL AGENDA?

2008 - A Beautiful Day of Golf

Picture
Money Raised - $30,000 for The Cancer Care Foundation and the DiSilvestro Family

Winners:  Dan and Pat Mullen
Old Orchard Golf Course

Over 120 golfers enjoyed an absolutely gorgeous day for Golf.  Joe’s electric guitar belted out the National Anthem.  Phil’s trumpet gave all the carts the proper send-off with a rousing tympani. Bill and I have to apologize if any of the music played on the course threw off anyone's game. We heard after the fact that Bob’s street organ and Phil's trumpet playing may have occurred during some backswings. Sorry about that.  Perhaps that's why only one team (Tofano / Shields) tied our score of 2-under par and only repeat winners Dan and Pat Mullen narrowly beat us!

After Golf, over 225 joined us for dinner and a night of dancing with the incredible swing band, the Rhythm Rockets.  Then the world premiere of this year's Beat Tom and Bill music video had everyone out of their chairs. Afterwards the Silent Auction and Raffle (featuring chants of MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!) helped raise a record amount for our outing!

2007 - The Bobblehead Trophy is introduced and ends up where it belongs... With Tom and Bill!

Picture
Money Raised - $15,000 for The Cancer Care Foundation

Winners:     Tom and Bill

Mount Prospect Golf Course

Tom and Bill, teased taunted, and pulled out all the stops to keep their own Bobblehead trophy.  I'm sure many of you are still hearing the sounds of the Bagpipe playing Amazing Grace in your dreams......

2006 - Kreb / Maloney Upset Tom & Bill

Picture
Money Raised - $10,000 for The Cancer Care Foundation

Winners:  Kreb / Maloney

Mount Prospect Golf Course

Who are these guys? Coming out of nowhere, these one-hit wonders stumble into victory on a cold and rainy course that conspired to best Tom and Bill. We pointed to "dumb luck" and a profound quote from the wise and learned Socrates - "Even a blind squirrel eventually finds his nuts."

2005 - Mullen Brothers Manage a mugging of Tom and Bill

Money Raised - $10,000 for The Cancer Care Foundation        Winners:                                Dan and Pat Mullen

Fresh Meadow Golf Club

The Mullen brothers see the success baseball players like Bonds, Clemens, and Nefi Perez are having with artificial enhancements so they rub “cream” and digest some horse pills to power themselves past the ultra-clean Tom and Bill.

2004 - Tom and Bill roll at Rolling Knolls

Money Raised - $4,500 for American Cancer Society
Winners:                Tom and Bill

In 2004, Bill went to the gym, Tom saw a sports psychologist and they both stepped up their game a few notches. The Outing supported the American Cancer Society, Bill shot "lights-out" and carried his brother, Tom to victory as they reclaimed the trophy named after them.

2003 - Tom and Bill Bested by Mullens

Picture
Money Raised - $3,500 for Avon 3-Day Walk for the Cure

Winners:   Dan and Pat Mullen

Rob Roy Golf Course

In 2003 the outing proceeds went to support Tom's sister-in-law, Joanne Glatz, as she walked in the same Avon program in memory of her mother, Alba Biancalana.  A few ringers who would continue to be a pain in Tom and Bill’s backside bested their score, but not their spirit.

2002 - The Tradition Begins!

Picture
Money Raised - $3,000 for Avon 3-Day Walk for the Cure

Winners:    Tom and Bill

In 2002, we sponsored Paula Guzzetta, the wife of our childhood friend Paul, as she participated in Avon 's 3-day Walk for a Cure. It’s because of her this tournament got started.  Tom and Bill are just two competitive guys, whose only thought was getting a bunch of people together for a fun day of golf and dinner to show support for one of our best friends. The madness was born!
