Bert Rogers, Jr.    

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for my son Bert.  Bert is a kind-hearted person who has always been willing to go out of his way to help someone out. Whenever he has a job to do he gives it his all. Bert has always been assertive at achieving his goals. Being born at 3pounds 15oz  he came into this world  being a  fighter. Now being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 38 is a big   challenge for him.

Unfortunately, at the time of his diagnosis he had no insurance.  He is struggling now with getting medical attention for treatment and maintaining his household bills. Relying on the help of family and  friends, I know Bert would greatly appreciate any help that he receives as he has never been a person who takes things for granted.

Bert has chemotherapy for three days every other week and after that he will need radiation treatments and then surgery to remove the cancerous growth.  I am so impressed with my son because with all he is going through he keeps a positive attitude.   He makes the most out of the days that he is feeling strong enough to eat or drink without getting sick. Please consider my son Bert because he can really use the help.
